Pre-K Student at McGarrah Gets Job

Via The Daily View:

Lindsey Blackwell, a McGarrah Elementary pre-kindergarten student, caught everyone's eye recently when Superintendent Edmond Heatley and a group of business representatives visited the school.

Blackwell walked into a room where the superintendent and others were waiting for the start of a meeting, and told him: "I need a job!" She then begin to recite a poem by the same name, informing him that she was seeking employment for money to, among other reasons, purchase stamps to send her grandmother a post card.

Dr. Heatley invited her to perform at the October Board of Education meeting, as he often does when he meets some of the extremely talented students on his visits to schools in the system.

Also, he answered her request and gave her a job.
