About Us

John's Fine Food

“John’s” specializes in authentic, southern-style home-cooked meals for under $8! We also offer a fine dining catering menu and experienced catering services. Our cafeteria-style restaurant seats 85 and feeds customers from all over metro Atlanta and vicinity. Our staff works extremely hard to serve delicious, perfectly seasoned meals, using the freshest ingredients.

Most of our meal selections are made from scratch. Every recipe is proprietary, time-tested and consistently tasty. Best of all, the price is the best value anywhere for quality and quantity. We aim to please. The Seagraves family has been dedicated to extraordinary food service and client satisfaction for six decades as the tradition continues.

Proprietors John and Mildred Seagraves have served the area at the 4161 Jonesboro Road location since September 1988. Over the years, we owned and operated Southern Vittles in Underground Atlanta, Captain John’s Seafood in East Point, City Hall Cafeteria, and the Atlanta Civic Center. Prior to relocating to Atlanta in 1980, we were restaurant and food service contract holders in Boston, Massachusetts and neighboring areas dating back to 1960.

John is a Griffin, GA  native, who honorably served in the U.S. Navy during WWII before raising a family in the Boston area. His goal was always to succeed and return home to Georgia.
