SPARC at the Frank Bailey Senior Center, October 29th | Community Spirit
C-Tran may be a thing of the past but Clayton County’s plan to promote wellness is here to stay. On October 29th, at the Frank Bailey Senior Center (6213 Riverdale Road, Riverdale), the Clayton County Senior Services Department are hosting “Sickness Prevention Achieved through Regional Collaboration” (SPARC).
Seniors aged 55 and older are invited to take advantage of flu, tetanus and pneumonia shots, blood pressure, foot, and cholesterol screenings, along with mammography scheduling.
SPARC is an evidence base program that works in partnership with community organizations and healthcare providers to promote disease prevention by providing screenings and immunizations in places that are convenient for senior citizens, it likes to act as a “one stop shop for wellness”.
There will be lots of give-a-ways, door prizes, fruits and vegetables for attendees. For more information contact Tori Strawter, Senior Services Assistant Director, 770-472-7638, firstname.lastname@example.org
