LOCAL PROFILE: Steve Stoute, founder of Transition

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Recently, Steve Stoute stopped by Spelman College to chat about his revolutionary take on the marketing world and a concept he calls “tanning”. Stoute started off as a road manager for hip-hop group Kid 'n Play and has since founded his own marketing firm, helped coin the McDonald's theme song and created his own firm, Translation LLC.

He has consulted for many of the top names in the music business and, a number of Fortune 500 companies, and he stopped by Spelman College to spread the word about his new book, “The Tanning of America”, which explains his theory on the redefinition of marketing.

In his words, he is a man 1st. Singing is his 1st love. Currently he has been working hard doing performances in  NY, DC, and here in Atlanta. In ATLANTA he is working on the HBCU Tour. Writing and producing music right now his, "TIME OF MY LIFE" FULL CIRCLE CD. Expect this hot, jazzy and neo-soul style of music to be hitting the shelves around 1st Quarter of 2012! Acting for Tyler Perry sitcoms, JeBron is expanding his fan-base with his "MUSIC and MEALS" TV Show. The first episode coming in November 2011. I hear it's gonna be great and getting awesome feedback. Yes!

ASO to honor Metro Atlanta music teachers

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will hold an appreciation ceremony for more than 180 Atlanta-area music teachers Friday evening.

The teachers will be recognized at 7 p.m. by ASO president Stanley Romanstein. Afterward, the instructors will attend the evening's concert featuring the music of Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninov and Mussorgsky.

ASO cellist Joel Dallow will also receive a special award from Romanstein for his arts education advocacy work throughout Georgia.

Both the 8 p.m. concert and the preceding reception will take place at the Woodruff Arts Center, 1280 Peachtree Street NE, Midtown.

Chili’s Restaurant at Mt. Zion cordially invites the public to join them for a birthday celebration in honor of Clayton County Commission Vice Chair Wole Ralph on Monday, September 26, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Vice Chair Ralph continues his efforts to raise funds for the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. One hundred percent of the restaurant’s net proceeds for the evening will be donated to the hospital.  The restaurant is located at 2230 Mt. Zion Parkway, Morrow, GA.
