"Noontime Knowledge" teaches about better landscaping

JONESBORO, Ga. -- The Clayton County Extension Office is offering a free program, where all residents can learn about a landscaping tool for their gardens. 

The "Noontime Knowledge" program's next them is "From the Ground Up" - where the benefits of a ground cover a discussed, as well as how to get started with one. 

Lou Hisel, Clayton County Master Gardener will be teaching, and the program is being held at the Clayton County International Park, "The Beach." The start time is set for 12:15 on Thursday afternoon, March 28. 

According to Hisel, the groundcover acts as a floor for landscaping, and helps in sun or shade for Georgia's soil climate. The ground cover tool helps trouble spots, and helps grass and plants grow. 

While the class is free, registration is required, and can be done by calling (770) 473-5434.
