Pedestrian struck in Clayton County
JONESBORO, Ga. -- A pedestrian was hit by a car in Clayton County Tuesday morning.
The accident happened just before 7 a.m. on Tara Boulevard at Dixon Street in Jonesboro.
Georgia Department of Transportation spokeswoman Chata Spikes said the car stopped after striking the unidentified pedestrian, whose condition is not yet known.
All lanes of Tara Boulevard were blocked as crews investigate the accident. One lane has since reopened.
