Two arrests made in south Fulton murder, shooting

UNION CITY, Ga. -- The Union City Police Department arrested two people for a murder and shooting that happened in south Fulton County on Friday, August 23.

Early Wednesday morning, officers arrested 32-year-old Otis Lee Hill, Jr. of Jonesboro. The arrest was made at a house in south Fulton County. Hill faces murder and aggravated assault charges.

At a home in Riverdale, officers arrested 31-year-old Aviance Chabliss Marshall. Like Hill, she was charged with murder and aggravated assault.

A Fulton County Public Works employee found the body of a female and an injured male in Fairburn. The worker found them that Friday around 9 a.m. on McClure Road, just off Highway 92. 

Detective Gloria Hudson of the Union City Police Department said on Friday that the female, Christina Wellington was dead from gunshot wounds. Her body was lying in the middle of McClure Road. 

Not far from Wellington's body was her husband Marshall Wellington, who was hurt by gunshot wounds. Hudson said he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital to be treated. His condition was not released. 

Investigators gave no further information.
