JONESBORO, Ga. - The Clayton County Sheriff's Department said they took rape and robbery suspect James Arthur Ramsey III into custody Tuesday afternoon after a multi-agency fugitive manhunt.
Ramsey was arrested in southwest Atlanta without incident, officials said.

Police said Ramsey broke into a house in the 500 block of Sycamore Drive at about 2:40 a.m., Sunday. They said he sexually assaulted a woman inside the home, then stole a 42-inche television and a Galaxy Metro PCS phone. The victim said Ramsey told her he had a gun, but did not display one.
Ramsey has been charged with rape, robbery by force, false imprisonment, aggravated assault and residential burglary.
