CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- The principals of two Clayton County middle schools were inducted into the DeKalb County Express Track Club Hall of Fame on Aug. 11.

Monique Drewry is the principal of Forest Park Middle School. She was a high school state champion and went on to compete at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Drury even competed in the 800m at the 1996 Olympic Trials.

Lonnie White, principal of Sequoyah Middle School in Riverdale, founded the Running Panthers Track Club of Clayton County and has also served as head track coach at Riverdale High School. Under his leadership, the Riverdale Raiders won numerous championships, including the only girls' state championship in Clayton County history. White was an All-American at his alma mater, Albany State University.

Both Drewry and White were recognized at the D.C. Express Track Club's annual banquet.
