More HUD Funds Allocated to Clayton County

Last Wednesday, Clayton County’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) was awarded an additional $3.8 million in funding to further reverse the effects of foreclosures in the county.  The funding is part of an additional $50,421, 988 that HUD disbursed to Georgia to help local communities throughout the state acquire, redevelop or demolish foreclosed properties. Clayton County is third among eligible communities in the state of Georgia for receiving the most in HUD funds during this current round of disbursements.

Due to the overwhelming success of its program, the Clayton County Housing and Community Development Office has been recognized by HUD and its Board of Commissioners.
