District students attend Work-Based Learning seminar | Schools

RIVERDALE, Ga. -- (submitted by Jerry Jackson) The annual Clayton County Work-Based Learning Success Seminar was held at the Professional Learning Center in Jonesboro on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
Work-Based Learning students had an opportunity to attend workshops relating to various subjects such as customer service, labor laws, teamwork, communication, time management, attitude and more.
"The seminar is a valuable experience for the students and enhances their employability skills," said Judy Nickel, North Clayton High Work-Based Learning coordinator. Every year local businessmen and women conduct the informative workshops for the students.
Since the first year the seminar was introduced, Tracy Gilbert, manager, Special Events/Programs, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, has presented a workshop on time management.
The event was coordinated and scheduled by the following individuals:
Eboni Chillis, director, Career Technology, Clayton County Public Schools, and Work-Based Learning coordinators from Clayton County High Schools:

Judy Nickel, North Clayton; Tina Walcott, Jonesboro; and Chuch Walls, Lovejoy.
