UPDATE: Honoring a soldier who gave his life on streets of Atlanta

UPDATE (November 9, 2015) -- They've collected about 200 pairs of shoes, so far, in honor of Sgt. Eminue, for those he was trying to help when he was killed.  They say they are very grateful, and they're still looking for more.  People can donate through Wednesday, Veterans Day.  (See below)  The delivery is on Friday.

Mattie's Call issued for missing Clayton Co. teen

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Clayton County police are searching for a 16-year old girl missing since Friday.

A Mattie's Call has been issued for Angela Dupree. She was last scene at her home on River Valley Lane in Jonesboro.

JONESBORO, GA (WXIA) – The family of 13 year-old girl who was beaten-up in a fight at school wants the district to stop students from recording the incidents and posting them to social media.

Police: Meth worth $5.3M seized from Jonesboro home

JONESBORO, Ga. -- Authorities said more than 93 pounds of crystal methamphetamine worth about $5.3 million was seized from a Jonesboro home on Thursday.

According to the Clayton County Police Department, a drug task force executed a search warrant at a home on Candle Light Court and found the drugs.

Man wanted in Krispy Kreme car theft, child sexual assault caught Kansas

RIVERDALE, Ga. -- Authorities in Clayton County said, Thursday, that a man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a teen after stealing a car has been caught hundreds of miles away.

Authorities said Tyreek Bowers-Rivera was arrested in Kansas by the state's highway patrol after finding him driving a stolen vehicle.

After a vehicle pursuit and a manhunt that lasted for several hours, Bowers-Rivera was taken into custody.

The arrest comes after Rivera-Bowers allegedly jumped into a car sitting at the Krispy Kreme doughnut shop on Highway 85 in Riverdale, Ga. on Oct. 14.

Police searching for suspect wanted in abduction and sexual assault

RIVERDALE, Ga. -- Tyreek Bowers-Rivera is now considered the second most wanted person in Clayton County. The sheriff's office is saying he abducted a 13-year-old girl at gunpoint and sexually assaulted her after a carjacking. 

It all started in a Krispy Kreme parking in Riverdale in Clayton County around 9 p.m. last Wednesday. The 13-year-old girl was in the backseat while her mother was in the store. 



When mother came back out to her car, she found that a suspect had left with her car – and her daughter – leading family members and police on a race to find her.

911 dispatchers pinged the girl’s cell phone to a location where the suspect allegedly dropped her off in front of a school. But the suspect kept the car.

Clayton Co. Sheriff Victor Hill to receive invite to speak to grand jury

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA (WXIA) -- This week, Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill will be invited to speak to a grand jury that will hear criminal charges against him.  The charges stem from a shooting in May in Gwinnett County – in which authorities say Hill shot a woman, apparently by accident.
