Roberts MS students join Teens for Jeans
JONESBORO, Ga. -- Students at M.D. Roberts Middle School in Jonesboro recently collected 1,289 pairs of jeans for families in need.
The students, who are part of their school's new Family Career and Community Leaders of America club, gathered up the jeans in support of Aeropostale's Teens for Jeans campaign.
Teens for Jeans collects gently used jeans for homeless teenagers and their families. It is co-sponsored by Aeropostale and dosomething.org, which motivates young people to have a positive impact on their communities.
Everyone who participates in Teens for Jeans receives a 25 percent discount coupon for Aeropostale. The U.S. school that collects the most jeans will win a $10,000 prize, a pizza party and Aeropostale hoodies for every student and staff member.
